My whole life, writing and jewellery have vied for my affections. During my English Literature degree, I carried a toolbox to lectures so I could head to the studio between stints at the library.
I later trained in silversmithing and jewellery at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, before spending a decade as a designer for internationally recognised brands. Picking up awards and high-profile clients, I realised my penchant for storytelling set my work apart. Whether for the high street or Bond Street, all my collections were supported with original narratives
Knowing that my story-led approach could support a wider range of independent jewellery brands, in 2019 I founded my jewellery copywriting business. Now I work with designers and companies across the UK and USA.
I’m always up for speaking about storytelling and creativity, and love holding talks and masterclasses. You might heard me speak at New York Jewellery Week, for The Goldsmiths’ Centre or on the Thrive by Design podcast.
Alongside my copywriting, I write fiction examining art, craft and the body. I have an MA in Creative Writing with Distinction, and am currently writing my debut novel exploring artistic communities and the creative life.
